LA town is falling down and I’m a bit jaded.

I am, as everyone is, highly annoyed with the insufficiency of our governments response during disasters. |New Orleans is still in ruins, and most of the world trade center family members of victims still haven’t seen a dollar from the disaster relief that was promised.

We are paying Canada for use of their planes to help put out the fire but why aren’t we ever better prepared for these things. Its not like we don’t have flooding, earthquakes and fires oh I don’t know EVERY YEAR! Oh wait yes we do! 

California stand alone has the 5th to 6th largest economy in the world! (Thank you Hollywood, screw you Northern California) I am reminded of some lyrics from a silly song by the Animaniacs…

Los Angeles had fires And a riot and a flood

And then a drought and the recession

And then now we hear this thud… 

L.A. town is falling down

While the ground

Moves around

We won’t let it get us down

We’re Californians!

Okay I am tough, I am an LA girl. If a 6’6” 300 pound man threatens me I look him in the eye and say “Fuck you” (no, seriously, that happened a couple of weeks ago) and when our government fails us at the most basic and critial levels I dare to except, I really feel like giving the same response.So I heard that one of the suspected arsonists was shot and killed during a police pursuit or something like that. All I have to say is boo freaking hoo. Every life is valuable and I do not support rogue or mob justice but I still am having a hard time finding a tear to shed.

Maybe LA girls are just jaded.
