School, and A New Blog Of Mine

Okay so classes started up again last week and yesterday I got my first homework assignment. I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry. I have to make pop up cards.

You know the ones… Yep, I am going to make cute, happy, and funny pop up cards. 7 of them each with a poem about me included. Wow when she said she was going to teach us how to teach each other as if we were all fifth graders she was not kidding. She actually taught us the proper way to glue.

Sounds easy? Yeah if that were it… did I mention I have to take a week off of work to observe a classroom? Did I mention I would be writing a children’s book and making a career portfolio? Did I mention I will be studying book banning in the United States? I almost had an anxiety attack at the prospect of all that work. But, because my motto is too much is never enough I am rather excited.

Well I have decided to start a new blog called Pinky A nickname Smuv gave me). It will be dedicated towards my journey of becoming a teacher. I will be including all sorts of children’s activities, information about education, and journaling my thoughts, ideas, observations, frustrations, etc.

It’s possible no one will be interested in this but it’s more for me than anything else so bite me. But if you have children I will be adding a few activity suggestions, games, kids news etc. etc. and as always your input is welcome!
